Infrastructure in the Post-Pandemic 21st Century | April 2023

Goal: Through the Evening Masters Program at the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy, the Current Topics IV: Infrastructure in the Post-Pandemic 21st Century capstone project included an analysis on the history of water utilities in the United States, as well as challenges and regulations affecting water utilities in modern days.

Execution: An analysis was completed in just one day, using 7 peer-reviewed sources, that covers the history of water utilities in the U.S. from the Clean Water Act in 1972 through current PFAS regulations and more, as well as a “failure” story and recommendations for future regulations.

Result: This deck was presented to Public Policy graduate students before a discussion was led on the topic. After facilitating the discussion, a paper on the topic was created and passing grades were awarded.

Congestion Pricing, Air Pollution, and Children’s Health | December 2022

Goal: For the Evening Masters Program at the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy, a Data Analytics course required analysis of policy-related published papers with recommendations based on findings. I analyzed the study “Congestion Pricing, Air Pollution, and Children’s Health” by Emilia Simeonova, Janet Currie, Peter Nilsson, and Reed Walker to find validity and implications, as well as policy recommendations.

Execution: I thoroughly reviewed the paper and compiled information on the background presented, the motivation for the study, the empirics used in the data analysis, the data and results found and my perceived validity of the argument, as well as critiques of the analysis and policy recommendations.

Result: I compiled a presentation with a thorough analysis, findings that the study is mostly valid and, overall, that I would feel comfortable making policy recommendations based on the findings.

2020 Industry Trends White Paper | January 2020

Goal: As a Content Marketing Specialist for Q1 Productions, I produced the 2020 Industry Trends White Paper in order to launch yearly conference dates and provide valuable insights on trending regulations for industry experts.

Execution: I performed interviews with industry experts and market research, as well as determined corresponding conferences for highly regulated industries to put together in one white paper.

Result: I helped complete a cohesive document with all future conference dates and predicted industry trends, which was then sent to experts in the industries mentioned in the white paper. This included discounts available to encourage advanced registration and led to an increase in registrations.
